Spiffy science update
Dec. 8th, 2004 02:26 pmWriting this grant is emotionally chaotic for me. I vacillate between being confident that everything will work eventually and thinking that only a great fool would fund this. One minute I know that, though it's difficult, I can write this well enough for my ideas to be understood, the next moment I'm totally overwhelmed by the enormity of the task.

Though, I may have just found some implications in some of my sources that suggest that the cardiovascular work I'm proposing may also have utility in neuroscience. Maybe. If it's true, it'd be spiffy.

Just got asked why I'm studying an anatomy textbook. I say, "I need to do histology of mouse hearts, I figured I should know what a heart actually looks like." Of course, this is an equine anatomy text from a 1963 printing of a book published in 1953 (the Fourth Edition, even) that Boss bought for $15 during his vet school days.
That's all.
That's all.
